Learjet 55
The Learjet 55 stole the limelight from its predecessors by offering passengers greatly enhanced interior comforts and almost 50 per cent more cabin space. The cabin accommodates seven or eight passengers in a standard club arrangement. There are external and internal baggage compartments, an enclosed lavatory, and a sleek galley which features a refreshment center. Learjets’ engineering prowess is apparent in the increased lift (20 per cent) of the vertical tail to promote greater high-altitude handling, in addition to the use of winglets to reduce drag.
