Raytheon Premier I
With the entry level Raytheon Premier I, Beechcraft takes on the veteran Cessna Citation Jet series with aplomb. The largest single pilot jet in operation, the Raytheon Premier was designed using a CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application) design. The jet’s advanced features include the new Collins Pro Line 21 EFIS avionics suite, a T-tail, and two WilliamsRolls FJ-44 turbofans. The roomy cabin, which seats six or seven passengers, is by virtue of the groundbreaking, composite honeycomb fuselage which can be constructed in just one day—that’s versus the standard 10 to 14 days. Pilots are quick to praise the advanced, streamlined cockpit that is noted for its superb visibility.
