Gulfstream V
A pioneer in the ultra-long-range category, the Gulfsteam V was the first corporate jet to fly more than 6,000 nautical miles when it first entered service in 1997. Powered by two BMW/Rolls-Royce BR710-48 engines, the GV is renowned for its an exceptional range/payload capacity; even when loaded to its maximum payload (6,600 lbs), it achieves a range of 5,416 nautical miles. The GV’s luxurious cabin is divided into three temperature zones and can accommodate up to 16 passengers in a standard configuration. Along with lashings of glossy woodwork, plush leather seats, and a 6.2-foot-high ceiling that allows even the most vertiginous travelers to wander freely throughout the cabin, a range of technological upgrades—including a fax machine, printer, and WIFI—optimize transoceanic connectivity.
