Gulfstream IV
The precursor to the later generation Gulfstream 300 and 400 models, the long range GIV aircraft is fitted with a Honeywell SPZ-8000 avionics suite and Rolls-Royce Tay Mk 611-8 engines which not only use 13 per cent less fuel than the previous GIII’s Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan engines but also contribute far less noise pollution. When it came to the GIII’s stellar performance, cost effectiveness, and green kudos, the MK 611-8 engines were deemed so successful that they were incorporated in to the design of subsequent Gulfstream generation jets, including the G300 and 400. The cabin’s clever configuration lends itself beautifully to all manner of in-flight pursuits, from the preparation of gourmet meals to browsing the state-of-the art entertainment systems.
