Safety and Security

Safety is our utmost priority—it forms the cornerstone of Zephyr Jets’ corporate values

Zephyr Jets invests time, resources, and the application of strict operational procedures to ensure that each aircraft within our network is equipped with advanced aviation technology that complies to the industry’s most stringent private aircraft safety standards. Zephyr Jets’ elite pilots rank among the most experienced and highest trained in the field of private aviation. No expense is spared to ensure that your family, guests, and associates are in the safest hands.

Stringent Maintenance Procedures

Every private jet that operates within the Zephyr Jet’s network, in addition to each flight crew member, is subject to rigorous screening. All U.S.-based aircraft must possess at least a Gold Rating from the Aircraft Research Group/US® (equivalent ratings are required for non-U.S.-based aircrafts). Each aircraft conforms to FAR (Federal Aviation Requirements) Part 135 or Part 91, which requires each aircraft to present a log that details its maintenance history. At all times, the Zephyr fleet operates from airports that have been certified for that type of aircraft’s use by the FAA.

Outstanding Pilots

Each Zephyr charter jet is operated by two certified pilots that have completed a minimum of 3,500 flight hours—including 1,000 hours of cross-country time, including 100 night flights. All pilots are required to hold an instrument rating Airline Transport Certificate within the Airplane Category.

Security Measures

Each Zephyr Jets client has the security of knowing that each passenger who has flown on the aircraft prior to them has been screened according to comprehensive TSA standards. The TSA requires the full legal names of all passengers.

Rigorous Safety Standards

Zephyr Jets collaborates with local and federal law enforcement agencies to ensure full compliance with all legal requirements that pertain to aviation security. Crew members are required to display their company issued photo identification badge, at waist level or above, when on or in the vicinity of the aircraft. In addition, all crew members are required to carry valid government issued photo identification while on flight duty. All aircraft are locked and secured when crew members are absent from the plane. All passengers are escorted from the FBO to the aircraft by a crew member. In addition to these standard safety procedures, Zephyr Jets can provide, at your request, armed or unarmed security detail to further ensure the safety of you and your family.
